Crews Respond To Motor Vehicle Fire In Atlantic County
ABSECON, N.J. (CBS) - Police and fire crews in Atlantic County responded to a motor vehicle fire on Saturday afternoon.
The incident happened at about 12:32 p.m. near E. Wyoming Avenue and North Shore Road in Absecon.
Police say 40-year-old Peter Roderick of Harbor Township was driving his 1989 Chevy truck when it suddenly became disabled. Upon stopping at the side of the road, Roderick discovered flames underneath the hood and contacted police.
The Absecon Fire Department responded and worked to quickly extinguish the fire which spread to nearby trees and leaves.
The fire was contained a little after 1 p.m. There is no word on what caused the fire.
No injuries were reported.
