Donna Murasko, Dean of Drexel’s College of Arts and Sciences says the new affiliation will be beneficial to both the university and the museum.

“We’ll be doing more research than we had before. We’ll also be training students who will go out to the schools in the area who will have more educational programs.”

“The Academy is still a separate entity,” vice president of environmental research David Valinsky says. “The affiliation is such that financial responsibility is now shifted over to Drexel but yet our programming is now jointly monitored or developed by both the Academy and Drexel University.”
