Gunfire Sends Six To The Hospital In Chester

CHESTER, Pa. (AP/CBS) - Police say gunfire in the city of Chester overnight has sent six people to the hospital.

Officials say the shooting began shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday in the area of Ninth and Kerlin streets.

Two people were taken by ambulance to Crozier-Chester Medical Center. Four others also believed hurt in the same shooting were taken there by private vehicles.
Captain Anita Amaro said the victims ranged in age from 22 to 35 years old.

She says several victims told investigators that they were in a parking lot when the shots rang out.

No information was immediately available about the condition of the victims.
