2 Philadelphia Teens Charged With Terrorizing Elderly Abington Woman

ABINGTON, Pa. (CBS) - Two Philadelphia teenagers are behind bars in Montgomery County on a half-million dollars cash bail each, facing numerous charges in connection with a home invasion last week in Abington Township in which they allegedly terrorized a 77-year-old woman.

Abington police say they got some pretty good leads from detectives in Philadelphia which led them to 19-year-old Jeffrey Lopergolo and 17-year-old Anibal Pastor, both of Northeast Philadelphia.   Pastor is being charged as an adult.

They are charged with burglary, theft, and assault in connection with the home invasion in the first block of McFadden Drive in Huntingdon Valley.

Abington deputy chief John Livingood says the pair broke into a home around dinnertime and confronted the homeowner.

"They assaulted her physically, sprayed her with pepper spray, struck her, threatened her, and held a pillow over her face so she could not see them," Livingood says.

He says they made off with three handguns, cash, and jewelry, none of which have been recovered.

Livingood believes the two are being looked at for additional crimes in Philadelphia and the surrounding area.
