Police Looking For Two Camden Men Linked To Murders In Bucks County And Camden

CAMDEN, NJ (CBS) - Two Camden men are wanted in connection with a homicide last weekend in Bucks County.

Warminster Township Police Chief Michael Murphy says 'mutual acquaintances' brought 23-year old Laurie Wint (pictured, left) and 24-year old John Briggs (pictured, right) to the Bucks County Landing Apartments on Street Road.

During an argument, said to be over a drug debt, according to the probable cause affidavit, 33-year old Tyrone Newman was stabbed eight times. He later died. Murphy says Wint, also known as 'Lance' or 'Turtle,' sustained a deep facial wound, from his right cheek to his mouth.

Wint also is wanted in the shooting death of a Camden man last month, during an argument over a woman, according to Chief Murphy, "Obviously the fact that Mr. Wint is a suspect in homicides on both sides of the river makes it doubly important that we get the community support and help in locating Mr. Wint."

The Citizens Crime Commission is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Wint and Briggs. Its number is 215-546-TIPS.
