Kimmel Center Presents 'Philadanco' To Celebrate Mother's Day

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Kimmel Center is holding a special Mother's Day weekend celebration ranging from modern dance to bee-bop.

Philadanco is putting on new choreographic work in the Perelman Theater at the Kimmel Friday, Saturday and Sunday; Ray Mercer's Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. Philadanco Founder and Artistic Director Joan Myers Brown says it's not what you might think.

"It's not the Poitier Coming to Dinner, but his vision about the different people who come to the table with their different problems, different issues, different gatherings, what people bring to the table."

On Sunday, Jerry Blavat holds a Mother's Day Spectacular with a line up of Philadelphia rock and roll, R&B and doo-wop stars. For more info, visit www.kimmelcenter.org.
