Home Video Report: Some New Items Originating On Small Screen
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Our video list this week clearly demonstrates that some releases are impressive collections over personalities.
We begin with Brian DePalma's 1981 Blow Out (above), a reworking of Michaelangelo Antonioni's Blow-Up, starring John Travolta.
"Upstairs Downstairs" is the recent three-episode sequel to the British series about life in a London mansion. Jean Marsh is featured.
In the documentary department we have Forgiveness, which explores a range of stories on that subject, while Lucky deals with the world of lottery winners.
There's a powerful documentary on the American movie business from Turner Classic Movies -- a seven-episode feature about the business that began as peep shows and worked its way up to an art form. Christopher Plummer narrates the panorama titled "Moguls & Movie Stars, A History of Hollywood." Some critics have termed it the cable channel's most ambitious effort.
