DOVER, Del. (AP) — Dover police say a 22-year-old woman was hit by a stray bullet as she walked in Capitol Green.

The woman told police she was walking on New Castle Avenue just south of East Water Street on Thursday afternoon when she heard gunshots and started to run.
Police say the woman fell to the ground and that’s when she realized she had been hit just above her right ankle.
