Bride-to-be Lynshanda Bowser has been trying to lose weight since she got engaged in January. To help her diet, she’s been drinking Neuro Trim, and has lost six pounds, in two months.
“Just makes you feel a little fuller,” said Lynshanda.
The maker says Neuro Trim contains a supplement called LuraLean, that expands in the stomach, so people don’t feel hungry.
“Out of everything that I tried this is the best one,” said Lynshanda. She heard about the drink at Ends Salon where she works.
“Initially you’re like I don’t really know if they do the things that they say that they do,” said Natalie McNeill, owner of Ends Salon.
And they’re making some pretty big claims. Eight drinks that supposedly improve everything from brain power, to happiness, to sporting abilities.
But these are supplements not scientifically reviewed or regulated by the government. And it even says on the bottle these statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. One says “passion in every bottle.”
“It’s a great mood enhancer, and it brings out the girlie side of me,” said Mary Ann Sengvilayheuang, Ends Salon Massage Therapist.

“They’re functional beverages for every aspect of your life,” said Chris Noonan, a scientific advisor to Neuro Brands says the drinks contain vitamins, nutrients and supplements backed by clinical research.
Neuro Sleep contains melatonin, which has been shown to improve sleep.
“It really does work, and I was very pleased,” said Natalie. She is happy to have found an all natural sleep remedy.
Each bottle contains 35 calories. And she also drinks Neuro Sun which contains vitamin d.
“I have problem taking pills. Nobody wants to take pills, but a beverage is more fun it gives you hydration and the other benefits, which is great,” said Natalie.
An expert we talked to is skeptical about all of the claims made by Neuro Drinks, specifically how much of the supplement is needed to see benefits and the possibility of getting too much.
It will be available at Genuardi’s next month or can be bought online.
