Wilmington Police Find $1,400 Worth Of Marijuana, Cocaine During Traffic Stop

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) - Wilmington Police seized 68 bags of marijuana and one bag of cocaine worth nearly $1,400 from a vehicle while they conducted a routine traffic stop Saturday morning.

At about 9:45 a.m., Wilmington patrol officers were on duty when they spotted a white Dodge Caravan drive through a stop sign at 5th and Washington Streets. After the vehicle was pulled over, one of the passengers, 24-year-old Christopher Pressey, exited the vehicle upon the officer's request.

Police say when Pressey exited the vehicle, he left 68 bags of marijuana and one bag of cocaine on his seat.

Pressey was arrested and is being charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana, and intention to deliver marijuana.

Authorities say a second passenger in the vehicle also had a warrant out for arrest. The driver of the van was issued a summons for the stop sign violation.
