Saint Joe's Drops Fourth Straight Contest

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Freshman Dwayne Evans finished with career highs of 16 points and 14 rebounds to lead Saint Louis past Saint Joseph's 67-51 Saturday.

Kyle Cassity and Cory Remekun each added 12 points for the Billikens (6-11, 1-3 Atlantic 10), who ended a six-game losing streak.

Carl Jones had 10 points to lead the Hawks (5-12, 0-4), who lost their fourth straight despite shooting a higher percentage than the Billikens.

Saint Louis shot just 33.3 percent but hit 21-of-29 free throws. Saint Joseph's shot 40 percent and was 7 of 12 from the foul line.

Evans' dunk with 15:45 left in the first half put the Billikens up 9-7 and gave them the lead for good. Saint Louis took a 29-19 advantage into halftime, and it pushed its lead to as much as 16.
