Town Hall Meeting For Arts Challenge

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Those who want to know more about the challenge that will fund the best ideas for arts in Philadelphia get one last chance before Monday's deadline at a town hall meeting tonight.

Back in September, the Knight Foundation announced it was bringing its Arts Challenge to Philadelphia, offering nine million dollars in matches for the most innovative arts projects.

Tonight, Dennis Scholl, Knight vice president for the arts, will field questions at a town hall meeting.  This is the last chance for questions for potential applicants. The deadline, which had been October 31st, has been pushed back to Monday, November 1st:

"We heard that Philadelphia parties pretty hard on Halloween, so we decided to give people an extra day, just in case."

The town hall meeting is from six to seven p.m. at Moore College of Arts and Design at 20th and the Parkway. For more info, go to KnightArts.org
