BLOG: I'm Selling Pies For MANNA
Pie anyone?
If you're already starting to plan your Thanksgiving dinner I encourage you to include a MANNA pie, or cake on your shopping list. And for the second year in a row you can buy that pie or cake from me!
Each year the MANNA Pie in the Sky fundraiser helps raise money to provide nourishing meals to people who are battling life-threatening illnesses like cancer or HIV/AIDS.
This event offers for sale six types of gourmet desserts, three pies and three cakes, each individually collared, shrink-wrapped, and packaged in gift-quality boxes. The pies and cakes are all priced at $25 each. This year the selection includes: Traditional Apple, Pumpkin and Southern Pecan; cakes include Carrot, Chocolate Fudge and Cherry-Topped Cheesecake.
I am trying to sell 100 pies this year as captain of the CBS 3 / CW Philly team. As an added bonus, I'll also throw in a CBS 3 reusable grocery tote for each person that lends their support and makes a purchase. How's that for exciting?
