Jerry O’Leary was a musician for 30 years before he opened Music Works in 2002 in Delaware County.

Now he’s a music therapy service provider who works with individuals of all ages who live with challenges.  Although he really didn’t know it at the time, O’Leary says his work began with his own mother:

“While she was in the hospital, I would take the guitar in and entertain her.  And by the end of the night, there were 40 or 50 people in the room.”

O’Leary says he’s grateful for the chance to take something he loves and use it to help others:

“I will bring them an opportunity to express themselves musically and express themselves in ways they’d never had the opportunity to do before.”
