No Serious Injuries in Washington Sq. Carriage Mishap
Four children and two adults escaped serious injury this afternoon after the horse carriage they were riding in overturned on South Washington Square.
KYW's Hadas Kuznits reports that all managed to walk away from the incident. One child was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a bump on his head.
Witnesses say they saw the horse walking towards a trough of water near Hopkinson House when the carriage jackknifed and toppled over. They say they saw the horse fall down, too.
The driver of the carriage says the horse slipped on a puddle of water.
The carriage was unhooked and set upright. There were no injuries to the horse.
