PECO's Ready for a Big Weekend

With so many air conditioners and fans on this weekend many people are worried about the power going out because of demand but as one utility officials says they've got the situation under control.KYW's Michelle Durham reports PECO Spokesperson Ben Armstrong says it's going to be a busy day:

"We anticipate that we are going to be about 600 megawatts shy of all time record peak. And with it being a weekend and a lot of business and industry closed that's why the customer usage will probably be a little bit down today."

But Armstrong says there are things everyone can do to conserve energy:

"Close some of your blinds, shades and curtains. That can minimize the sun's effect on heating your home. Also use fans, ceiling fans and oscillating fans to push that air from your air conditioner throughout your home."
