Sources: Barricaded Man Arrested In Bristol, Believed To Be Person Of Interest In Fatal Hit-And-Run
BRISTOL, Pa. (CBS) – A man believed to be a person of interest in a fatal hit-and-run in Croydon has been taken into custody following a barricade situation in Bucks County Thursday night, sources confirm to CBS3.
SWAT units and the Bristol Borough Police Department surrounded a home near Pond and Dorrance Streets on Thursday night.
Sometime after 8:30 p.m., police say Nicholas Napoli, who was being sought by the U.S. Marshals on a parole violation, was taken into custody.
Sources say Napoli may be linked to a hit-and-run that left a 46-year-old man dead earlier this week.
Police say the victim was struck around 7 a.m. Monday in the 2900 block of State Road in Croydon.
Witnesses told police that a white 2000 Ford Focus had driven off the road from where the victim was struck and down into a nearby ditch before the driver fled into the woods.
Police say a woman was also found inside the home and taken into custody on Thursday night. She does not appear to be connected to the Croydon incident
