Phillies Look To Bounce Back In Part Two Of Utley's Return

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Phillies will look to get back on track tonight as they play the middle game of their three game series with the Los Angeles Dodgers at Citizens Bank Park.

Phillies lost the series opener last night 15-5 as Chase Utley made his return to South Philadelphia a night to remember. In his first game at Citizens Bank Park since the Phillies traded him to Los Angeles last year, Utley homered twice - including a grand slam that put the game well out of reach. The fans demanded a curtain call after each home run, this is in addition to the lengthy standing ovation Utley got prior to his first at bat of the game.

Rookie Jake Thompson will get the start on the mound tonight for the Phillies. This will be his third start since his call-up from Triple-A Lehigh Valley. He has gone 1-1 in the first two with an 8.68 ERA. The right-hander picked up his first Major League win his last start, allowing three runs in five innings against the Colorado Rockies.

The Dodgers will start veteran left-hander Scott Kazmir tonight. he is 9-6 with a 4.44 ERA. He pitched against the Phillies last week in Los Angeles, he allowed two runs in six-plus innings of work, suffering a 6-2 loss.
