Report: Sixers Being Investigated By NBPA For Possible CBA Violation

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) have told agents they are investigating the Philadelphia 76ers for a possible violation of the NBA's collective bargaining agreement, according to a report from Shams Charania of RealGM.

While the circumstances for the report are unknown, there are multiple situations the Sixers have been involved in, which could be suspected as potential violations.

One possibility is when the Sixers acquired Andrei Kirilenko last December, in order to save money. The Sixers were reportedly expected to waive the 13-year-veteran, but that did not happen. Kirilenko refused to report to the team and after being suspended, he was finally waived on February 21st.

Also, approximately two weeks ago the Sixers were reportedly talking to their 2014 12th overall pick Dario Saric about leaving the Turkish Basketball League early for the NBA. Saric, however, is not expected to join the Sixers for the 2015-16 season.
