PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Chef Townsend opens the bar at Townsend at 1623 East Passyunk Avenue next Friday April 25th, with the restaurant officially opening the following Thursday:

"Well, as far as what's going to be on the menu we're going to do about 7 appetizers and about 7 entrees, 4 desserts," he says. "We have a great cheese program we're working on and we're really excited about the Spring produce coming out."

Meanwhile, Andrea Kyan of Pure Sweets opens her new store PS&Co this weekend at 1706 Locust Street, where there's enough space to host cooking workshops and demonstrations.

"We're branching out into savory grab-and-go too," she says, " so you're gonna see a lot more products from us but all with the same mission of being honest with our ingredients."

And with Earth Day right around the corner, Sarah Evancho of DuRoss and Langel hosts a free presentation at their 13th Street store Tuesday evening on how to cook up your own environmentally friendly cleaning supplies:

"So you know, you're using things like baking soda, pure essential oils for scenting or for anti-bacterial or anti-microbial purposes as well as things like vinegar which have those same properties," she says.
