Cops: Man Arrested After Throwing Bodily Fluid Onto Female Customer At Delaware Walmart

NEW CASTLE, Del. (CBS) -- A Delaware man was arrested after police say he threw a bodily fluid onto a female customer inside a Walmart.

The disturbing incident happened at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Walmart located on Wilton Boulevard in New Castle, Delaware

According to investigators, the victim, a 20-year-old female, was standing in a store aisle using her phone. Police say as the suspect, 22-year-old Frank J. Short Jr., walked by her, the victim felt a liquid thrown onto her leg. The victim looked down and saw bodily fluid on her thigh and leg.

The victim walked through the store while Short followed her. Eventually, she found two employees who took her to a secure location in the store while the employees called police.

Delaware State Troopers arrived at the store and took Short Jr. into custody.

He has been charged with offensive touching with bodily fluid, harassment, lewdness, and disorderly conduct. He is being held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institute.

Authorities with the Delaware State Police have not definitively determined what the fluid was that Short Jr. threw onto the victim.
