5:40 am: Michigan governor Rick Snyder signed into law two bills making Michican a "right to work" state. This diminishes the power of unions.

6:40 am: Chris talks to Gretchen Hamel, executive director of Public Notice, about the fiscal cliff. President Obama and House Speaker John Boehner continue going back and forth with plans to avoid the cliff. No deal has been made.

 7:11 am: Tennis player Caroline Wozniacki is being called a racist for stuffing paper towels inside of her cloths to mock Serena Williams. The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce created a video mocking Philly's Mayor Nutter. The video was seen as racist. Do you see these stories as racist? Chris takes calls from listeners.

7:19 am: There is a movement to make the Easy Bake Oven gender neutral. They are seen as too girly. Chris takes calls from the listeners.

8:13 am: Chris talks to Tom McGrath from Philadelphia Magazine about the nurse in London who commited suicide after two Australian radio personalities prank called her pretending to be Queen Elizabeth asking about Kate Middleton. They also discuss a New York Times story, "In Girl's Last Hope, Altered Immune Cells Beat Leukemia." A young girl went through an experimental treatment to help her beat Leukemia at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

8:29 am: Piazza pet of the week. Caleb the puppy is welcomed into the studio for adoption.

8:40 am: Chris revisits the fiscal cliff conversation from the six o'clock hour. What will be the conditions agreed upon? Will there be an agreement in time? Obama is heard in an interview with Barbara Walters saying that taxes will go up. Obama tells Barbara Walters that she can afford the tax hikes.
