Wednesday's Child: Davon

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Davon is a bright but sometimes shy young man who loves animals and video games.

In fact, he says, if he doesn't become a video game designer when he grows up, he wants to be a veterinarian.

Melaney Hill, Davon's social worker, says he'll be able to do whatever he sets his mind to.

"He has a lot of potential," she says.  "He would benefit from a two-parent home with a father figure in it.  He does well with other children, whether they're older or younger.  He loves animals and he's doing well in school academically.  He was just placed in advanced classes, and he's doing great."

Hill says Davon will be a great fit with any family:

"I would say my favorite thing about Davon is his sense of humor. He, even sometimes without trying, lightens the mood in a conversation or in a room. I like to watch him interact with other kids because you really see him open up, and he's most comfortable around kids his age. So, he's a sweet boy -- a really sweet, sweet lovable kid."
