Weekend Phillyfun Picks For Kids -- October 10-12, 2014

Philadelphia's County Fair is coming to The Oval in front of the Philadelphia Art Museum this Friday, October 10th – Sunday, October 12th. Enjoy a ride on the Ferris wheel or play carnival games and fun. Families can also enjoy crafts and activities including a petting zoo, face paint, fall crafts and more. Free. Ferris wheel ride is $5.

The 8th Annual Mutt Strut and Fall Festival will be held at the Navy Yard this Saturday, Oct. 11th starting at 9 a.m. (strut at 11 a.m.) Don't miss the doggie costume contest, agility contest, and strut. Plus pet adoptions, live music, food trucks and fun for the whole family. Free.

The 3rd Annual Old City Seaport Festival takes place this weekend running Friday, October 10th – Sunday, October 12th. This weekend long festival will feature Tall Ships, live music, a craft village, great food and fun activities along the waterfront too. General admission is free. Festival admission (includes tall ship deck tours and Seaport Museum access) $16 adults, $12 children.

Linvilla Orchards kicks off the Halloween season with the return of Pumpkinland and the popular Hayrides to the Witches House running Friday, October 10th through Sunday, October 12th. Hayrides run from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Pumpkinland 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Free.

The Penn Museum's second Saturday family workshop happens on Sunday Oct. 12th from 1-4 p.m. with a focus on the Etruscan Sarcophagus.
