Century 21 Grand Opening


11 a.m., pay as you go

Score designer goodies at a fraction of the price at the Century 21 department store in Center City. It's the chain's first outpost in Philly, and the first 300 guests to show up will get free tote bags and mystery gift cards in amounts up to $1,000.

Aldine Opens


Pay as you go

Get excited: Another highly-anticipated restaurant is opening its doors in the City of Brotherly Love. From Chef George Sabatino (previously of Stateside and Morgan's Pier) comes Aldine, a 70-seat eatery in Rittenhouse Square offering a menu that's divided into simple categories – "Vegetables," "Meat" and "Seafood." Expect delish entrees including Glazed Pork Belly with chili marinated squid, black rice cracker and mint as well and Cappelletti with duck sausage, butternut squash and minced lemon as well as a full bar.

Halloween spirit (and spirits?!) are in the air at this outdoor screening in Dilworth Park. Catch a showing of the M. Night Shyamalan classic, "The Sixth Sense," with family or friends – the last al fresco film on the sched for 2014.
