Philadelphia is a great city for craft beer. Even though we have some of the toughest liquor laws in the country, many of our delis and restaurants have fantastic bottle shops. See below for some of the best stores in Philadelphia to buy craft beer.

Beer Heaven

Philadelphia, PA 19147

Beer Heaven in South Philly sells more than 900 bottles of beer and carries rare finds and seasonal bottles. With an ever-changing selection, you can buy a single bottle, make your own six-pack or purchase a six-pack of the same beer. In fact, you get 10 percent off when you mix and match a six-pack! If you are looking for a specific beer that comes to Pennsylvania but is not in the store, the staff here will be more than willing to order it for you. The prices at Beer Heaven are some of the best the city has to offer.

Bottle Bar East proudly boasts that it has “the best beer selection in Philly.” Its proclamation might not be far off, since its selection includes hundreds of rare and unique American and European bottles. This Fishtown bottle shop doesn’t just sell beer, though. It is also a restaurant, with a full kitchen and bar. The food is inexpensive ($7 for mac and cheese and great grilled cheese specials) and it also has a small draft list. However, you can bring your purchase from the front bottle store and enjoy it in the restaurant area. Don’t forget to head upstairs for games like foosball.
