Amid Phila. School Budget Woes, World Affairs Council Severs From Bodine H.S.

The Philadelphia school district’s international magnet school, Bodine High School for International Affairs, is named for the World Affairs Council chairman who helped start it in 1981.

Mary Robinson, Ireland’s First Female President, Speaks For Women During Phila. Visit

The first female president of Ireland was in Philadelphia for International Women’s Day, speaking at an event presented by the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia.

Tony Blair In Philly To Receive International Statesman Award

Former Prime MInster Tony Blair of the United Kingdom was in Philadelphia Tuesday night to receive the International Statesman Award from the World Affairs Council.
