The federal judge granted a prosecution motion to dismiss a couple of charges in a police corruption case that has ensnared six former Philadelphia narcotics officers.
The defendants are accused of using force and their positions as police officers to steal money, property, and drugs from drug dealers.

Bail hearings are scheduled for today for six Philadelphia narcotics officers charged with corruption.
The prosecution says the defendants are flight risks and a danger to the community.
“My client vehemently denies these allegations, and he looks forward to clearing his good name,” said Brian McMonagle, attorney for Officer Thomas Liciardello.
