Drew Brees will be much more successful against the Eagles defense than back-up Kyle Orton was in the final game of the regular season. But, if the Eagles can knock Brees off his game, then the Saints could quickly run out of options to try and keep up wit the Eagles offense.
Forget everything about what happened in the earlier meeting between the Eagles and Cowboys. The Eagles were in the midst of a quarterback revolving door between Nick Foles and Mike Vick and had not quite found their offensive identity. That has changed now. The Eagles offense is firing on all cylinders and should be able to play well against this Dallas defense that really struggles to stop much of anything.
The Eagles could be in a position to clinch the NFC East with a win against Chicago if they happen o get a bit of help from Washington. Regardless of what happens down I-95 in a key NFC East game involving the Dallas Cowboys, the Eagles will have their own problems to worry about.
While this may be Chip Kelly’s first rodeo with the Cowboys, there are enough players on the roster who should know what is at stake when the star comes to town. The Eagles look to have the kind of offense that can cause some problems for Dallas, especially if the Cowboys fail to bring any sort of pass rush with the possible absence of DeMarcus Ware.
