Philadelphia History Museum
As part of its ongoing exhibition of craft brewing in Philadelphia, a center city museum on Thursday night is hosting a beer tasting event with three local experts who will talk about the city’s centuries-long love affair with beer.
It’s now called the “Philadelphia History Museum at the Atwater Kent.”
Executive Director Charles Croce says the first gallery offers an overview of the city’s 300 year history, using an inventive combination of historic objects and first person narratives from contemporary Philadelphians.
Before the Atwater Kent Museum reopens next spring as the Philadelphia History Museum, it is holding a series of ‘conversations’ on tales of our city. Tonight, some experts will discuss the state of beer in Philadelphia, while folks sip local brews.
