Another Victory For Pennsylvania Convention Center In Dispute With Two Unions

The Pennsylvania Convention Center has won another round against the Carpenters and Teamsters unions. The state Labor Relations Board declined to hear the unions’ complaint.

Philadelphia Teachers’ Union Files Court Motions Over Contract Cancellation

Union president Jerry Jordan, in a statement, said the cancellation lacked legal merit and he called the act “cowardly and disrespectful.”

City of Philadelphia Asks To Impose Contract Terms in Stalled Blue-Collar Talks

“This is another attempt to circumvent the collective bargaining process by the mayor,” says District Council 33 president Pete Matthews. “It’s not up to the courts to resolve a collective bargaining agreement. It’s up to the mayor to sit down and work this out fairly.”
