Wheelchair Athletes Mentor The Next Generation at Philadelphia Event

Twenty-two little champions, ages 4 to 16, all in wheelchairs, gave it their all at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, in events such as tee-ball, basketball, and slalom.

Philadelphia Hosts Military Veterans’ Wheelchair Athletic Games

The US Department of Veterans Affairs and the Paralyzed Veterans of America present the games each year, open to military vets who use wheelchairs due to spinal cord injuries, amputations, or neurological problems.

Disabled Vet Receives New Bike To Help Train For Wheelchair Games

A disabled veteran from the Vietnam War era has a new piece of equipment to help him train for the National Veterans Wheelchair Games which will be held in Philadelphia for the first time next month.
