Great Food Fight
The Great Food Fight is an annual competition where high schools go to the mats with the goal of collecting the most food. The goal this year is to collect 100 tons of food – or 200,000 meals by March 8th.
Bill Clark, Executive Director of Philadabundance, says the group’s donations are down when the need for food is at an all time high.
The Great Food Fight is over and area high schools have collected 64 tons of food to help Philabundance feed the region’s hungry.
The Great Food Fight begins Friday at, a first-of-its-kind regional food drive to benefit Philabundance. A pep rally was held at Plymouth-Whitemarsh high school, which is one of 20 schools participating, to kick off the event.
