Fast food workers demanding a $15-per-hour minimum wage marched down Broad Street, blocking traffic and chanting, eventually converging on a McDonald’s at Broad and Arch.
Here in Philadelphia, 19-year-old Justice Wallace led a chant outside a McDonald’s restaurant at Broad and Arch Streets, a block north of City Hall.
Scores of fast-food and other low-wage workers rallied in center city Philadelphia to demand that Pennsylvania lawmakers raise the minimum wage to $10.10 an hour. A strike is scheduled for May 15th.
