Low clouds are delaying Christmas Eve flights in and out of Philadelphia International Airport.
Partly sunny skies will return for Wednesday and it will be breezy with wind gusts up to 25 mph. However, high temperatures remain above average for one more day with highs in the lower 50s.
After a week of mostly cloudy skies, the stubborn clouds over the past few days finally gave way to some sunshine today.
Expect some lingering low clouds, mist and fog early this evening, then skies will begin to clear out tonight, as a cold front moves through. A colder air mass will filter into the Delaware Valley behind the front with lows in the lower 30s tonight.
The rain is pulling away, and the clouds will eventually give way to some sun. That will be the story of today as we transition towards a pretty nice weekend.
A high pressure system will remain in control for Thursday, keeping skies mostly sunny with highs a bit cooler near 70 degrees.
Enjoy the next couple of days. Just don’t get too used them, as some changes are a-comin’.
Saturday morning a strong cold front will pass through our area, bringing rain and breezy conditions. The rain will begin during the early morning hours of Saturday, through early Saturday afternoon. Most of us will see some sunshine before sunset. Then temperatures begin to drop.
Clouds will mix with limited amounts of sunshine this afternoon, and highs will reach the lower 70s, certainly cooler than we’ve seen over the last several days.
Another beautiful day in store tomorrow, with highs in the low 80’s and lots of sunshine, and we should keep the sun for Thursday.

Steady rain will arrive Friday, as a slow moving cold front (from the west) combines with tropical moisture riding northward along the east coast.
Warm air stays in place Tuesday, but a frontal boundary will back into our area from the Northeast, bringing more clouds and a possible shower or storm.
