Overcast skies didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of over 2,000 bikers helping to raise money for charities that help the children of fallen firefighters and police officers.
The annual 65-mile Irish pub Tour de’ Shore bike ride to Atlantic City reached its goal to raise $600,000 for children’s charities before the event concluded.
It’s not too late to sign up for a bike ride that raises money to preserve land in Chester County.
“All of our money stays local. In the first 24-years, we’ve raised in excess of $2.2 million.”
Law enforcement officials and police from all over the Philadelphia region headed to Atlantic City to raise money for police charities for children like the Police Athletic League.
Unlike most Sunday races and walks, the Grand Fondo is technically not a race and it’s not a fundraiser.
