Worker Injured In Industrial Accident After Steel Stairwell Collapses On Him
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A worker was injured in an industrial accident at the Girard Point Bridge Pier in South Philadelphia on Tuesday afternoon.
Officials say the 25-year-old man was injured around 1:40 p.m. when a steel stairwell shifted and collapsed on top of him on the 3600 block of South 26th Street.
The victim is immobile, but conscious, and is being treated at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.
The victim's condition is not known at this time.
