U.S. Christmas Tree Shortage May Cause Price Hike This Year

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - It's going to cost you more to buy your Christmas tree from a tree farm this year.

Prices are up nearly 10 percent, and last decade's recession is to blame.

New Jersey Sees A Boost In Holiday Travelers 

Growers say ten years ago they planted fewer trees because of sluggish sales.

That's what is causing this year's shortage.
