Hundreds Lose Power After Truck Knocks Down Pole, Wires
HAVERTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- A crash on West Chester Pike in Havertown knocked power out for hundreds of homes and businesses Monday morning.
The crash on West Chester Pike and Manoa Road sparked a small fire around 4 a.m. after a truck knocked down a pole and wires.
PECO reported 500 customers without electricity in the area where the crash happened.
West Chester Pike was closed in both directions but the westbound lanes have since reopened.
There were no reported injuries.
