Firefighters Rescue Ducklings Trapped In Drainage Ditch

NEW CASTLE COUNTY, Del. (CBS) -- A duck leads firefighters to a different kind of rescue in New Castle County.

The mother duck started quacking hysterically after her six ducklings got trapped in a drainage ditch at a shopping center in Bear.

Firefighters pulled all of the baby ducks out of the ditch.

Unfortunately, three of them died after they were saved.

The firefighters say it's fairly common to get calls for animal rescues.
