WWII Vet Finds Bracelet From Mom Lost 73 Years Ago
PHILADELPHIA (CBS)--A World War II veteran from Syracuse gets a call he never expected.
The person on the other end is a man who found a priceless keepsake.
Staff Sergeant John Hill lost a bracelet more than 70 years ago on a field near Normandy.
It was a gift from his mother. He thought he'd never see it again.
But Matthew Delamonte found that bracelet in February while walking through that field with a metal detector.
He used the serial number on the bracelet to track hill down 73 years later!
