Komen Philadelphia Hosts 'Race For The Cure' Event

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It was the ultimate girls and guys night out, and it was all for a good cause.

Komen Philadelphia hosted a party Thursday night to mobilize teams for the "Race for the Cure."

More than 200 race team captains strategized on how they are going to build teams and raise money for the fight against breast cancer.

CBS 3's Jim Donovan was part of the event Thursday night.

The 2017 Race for the Cure is on Mother's Day Sunday, May 14.
