President Trump, Republican Congressional Leaders In Philadelphia For Retreat

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- President Trump addresses Congressional Republicans in Philadelphia in the midst of their annual retreat.

The House and Senate leaders say they're working with the Trump administration on their legislative plans, despite what they concede is the president's unconventional style.

House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell stayed laser-focused on Affordable Care Act repeal and tax code changes as their priorities to pass by the August recess and downplayed the President's more diffuse approach-- careening from a border wall to vote fraud to possibly reviving torture.

Ryan says it doesn't mean they're at odds.

"This is going to be an unconventional presidency. I think you know this by now. I think we're going to see unconventional activities like tweets and things like that and I think that's something we're just all going to have to get used to."

Ryan does say, though, torture is illegal and there will be no effort to restore it.
