Sports World Reacts To Craig Sager Death

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It was a sad day for the NBA community and fans on Thursday as popular sideline reporter Craig Sager died at the age of 65. Sager was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in 2014, forcing him to step away from the sidelines.

Sager's personality, fashion and reports were defining to his career and life.

Many players and teams took to Twitter to remember Sager.

The 76ers Thursday night released a statement expressing their sadness in the death of Sager.
"On behalf of the Philadelphia 76ers organization, we are saddened to learn of the loss of Craig Sager. 
 
Craig redefined his profession with a personality and spirit that was as memorable and as colorful as his trademark attire. He was courageous in the most challenging of times and was an inspiration to countless of millions who admired him. To say he was a valued friend and an inspiration would understate the impact he had on so many people within the NBA and far beyond. 
 
Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Sager family during this incredibly difficult time. "
