Sixers Provide Positive 'Significant' Ben Simmons Update

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Ben Simmons is coming.

The Sixers' number one overall pick, who continues to rehab from a fracture of the fifth metatarsal bone of his right foot, had the boot removed from his foot and shot free-throws in sneakers on Tuesday.

Coach Brett Brown called this "significant."

Sixers center Joel Embiid, who missed his first two NBA seasons with foot injuries, is excited for Simmons.

The Sixers have never given a concrete timetable for Simmons' return.

"I'll have my first game eventually," Simmons said on October 26th, before the Sixers' first game. "My time will come."
