Eagles Studs And Duds: Week 14

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Eagles lost their fourth straight game on Sunday, falling 27-22 to the Washington Redskins.

Despite the loss, it was probably one of the Eagles' best performances over their past four games. Unfortunately, they didn't get the outcome they wanted, falling to 5-8 on the season.

Duds

3. Ryan Mathews

Ryan Mathews struggled on Sunday, returning to the field after missing the last two games with an injury. Mathews ran for 60 yards on 15 carries, but managed just 18 yards after contact and allowed one sack and two hurries in pass protection, per Pro Football Focus

2. Leodis McKelvin

It was an up-and-down for the Eagles' 31-year-old cornerback, who did have a pick-six and a pass deflection. However, McKelvin also allowed an 80-yard touchdown to DeSean Jackson and allowed four more receptions.

1. Pass Rushers

Fletcher Cox three of the Eagles' five pressures on the day. The rest of the d-line combined for two pressures. That's it. Where is Brandon Graham, Connor Barwin, and Vinny Curry?

Cox finished the game with 1.5 sacks, 1.5 TFL, 2 QB hits, 4 total tackles, and again, three of the Eagles' five pressures.

2. Zach Ertz

Ertz caught 10 of 13 targets for 112 yards. He did commit a block-in-the-back penalty on, what would have been, a Darren Sproles punt return touchdown, however.

1. Carson Wentz

Wentz was the Eagles' third highest graded offensive player (81.7) per PFF, behind Ertz and Trey Burton. The rookie quarterback, without key players like Brandon Brooks, Allen Barbre, and Darren Sproles later in the game, Wentz battled. He finished 32 of 46 with 314 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 interception and nearly orchestrated a game-winning touchdown drive.
