Police: Elderly Man Struck, Killed On Black Horse Pike

GLOUCESTER Twp., N.J. (CBS) -- An accident claimed the life of an elderly man in Gloucester Township on Tuesday. Police say the accident occurred just before 6:00 p.m.

The Gloucester Township Police Department was sent out to Black Horse Pike near Grand Avenue. At the scene, an elderly man was found in the middle of the highly. Authorities say he suffered extensive injuries and was in cardiac arrest.

The man was taken to JFK Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police say the driver was not injured and did stay on the scene.

Black Hiorse Pike was closed ke was closed in the area.
