Cops: Arrest Made In Fatal Shooting Of Teen In Mayfair

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --  Police say they have made an arrest in last week's murder of a teenager in the Mayfair section of the city.

Police say a 19-year-old man wanted in connection with the murder of a 14-year-old turned himself in Tuesday afternoon to homicide detectives.

Police declined to release his name pending further questioning and the formal filing of charges.

Detectives allege he shot 14-year-old Ian Wilsey last Monday night, November 28, as he was walking with a 16-year-old friend in the 6200 block of Brous Street around 9 p.m.

Police say the friend told them two men wearing hoodies approached them and one began firing shots and Wilsey was hit.

He died less than an hour later in Aria Health-Torresdale campus.

His companion, whose name has not been released by police, was not hurt.

Police say Wilsey was a ninth grader at Northeast High School. They say he would have turned 15 this month
