Runaway Horses Cause Crash On AC Expressway; 1 Horse Killed
PHILADELPHIA (CBS)—A horse was struck and killed following a single-vehicle crash Monday morning in Winslow Township.
It happened on the Atlantic City Expressway around 3 a.m. near milepost 32. 1.
Troopers say a car traveling on the Expressway struck the horse that was near the right shoulder of the road.
Troopers were able to corral a second horse near the scene.
Only minor injuries were reported in the incident.
State Police say it's still unknown how the horses got onto the Expressway.
