Md. Woman Stabbed Grandma to 'Cut The Demons Out Of Her'

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (CBS)—Police in Maryland are investigating after they say a woman stabbed her grandmother to "cut the demons out of her".

It happened over the weekend in the 500 block of 2nd Street in Pasadena, Maryland.

Police received the call from a concerned family member.

Police say the 82-year-old victim suffered multiple stab wounds. She has since been released from the hospital.

The suspect, Savannah Esperson Weaver, 20, of Pasadena, was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

She is facing charges of attempted murder and other related assault charges upon her release from the hospital.
